The Project
Sheffield Cathedral, a major place of worship with a rich heritage, required a modern, high-performance AV solution to support their wide-ranging services and events. The aim was to improve intelligibility, coverage and control of their audio system suitable for both liturgical and community-based events.
DM Music worked closely with the Cathedral team to design a solution that respected the historic fabric of the building while delivering excellent sound coverage, future-proof connectivity and intuitive control. The project involved consultation, design, demonstration, installation, training and ongoing support.
Challenges & Objectives
- Aesthetics: All equipment installed with minimal visual impact, no fixings into the fabric of the building, discreetly installed cabling
- PA System: designed to enhance spoken word intelligibility and accommodate choir and orchestral music
