Training makes all the difference

We regard this as essential to maximise the benefit of any investment in Audio Visual or Sound Equipment.
At DM we believe that proper training is an essential part of the purchase. We often encounter PA/AV operatives who have been left high and dry with reasonably sophisticated equipment but with very little knowledge and skills as to how to use it. This is not always the fault of the person concerned as they have been instructed to go out and find the ‘cheapest internet deal’. Our experience shows that the cheapest deal is often not the best deal.

Installation = Training

All of our sound and audio-visual installations come with training for operatives as standard. This may be as simple as how to turn everything on, or it could be in-depth digital mixing desk configuration - and very often it needs to cover both!

We are very aware that many Churches have differing and varied uses for their sound and audio systems through the week (as well as Sundays). Coupled with this is the differing types of user most churches will have: this could be experienced or novice PA operators on the 'rota' for Sunday or, it could be occasional (and understandably reluctant!) users during the week for weddings, funerals, mid-week gatherings, third-party booking etc, etc. Therefore our training needs to be appropriate and considered when it comes to addressing different uses of equipment and different users of equipment.

We understand that the equipment itself is there to be both a tool for its users and a resource for the church and wider community. Fundamentally the equipment is there to be an aid to worship and and not a distraction!

Further Training...

We offer training beyond installation of course. Perhaps a refresher course for your existing sound team or an introduction session for new recruits? It may be you would like to purchase new equipment with engineer installation, set-up, optimisation and then receive specific training. This is a very popular option for Churches upgrading to a digital mixing desk.

Uniquely Qualified

We understand the church environment - you can start a sentence and we can complete it. As well as being AV and Sound professionals with many years of combined experience, we are also very familiar with what actually happens on a Sunday morning. It is because we ourselves operate systems, play musical instruments etc. in our own Churches: that gives us the ‘inside knowledge’ and experience, and therefore, the expertise to be unique in what we do.
