“The old sound reinforcement system at St Michael’s was life-expired, reliability and quality were deteriorating and the functionality fell well short of what is currently expected. It no longer provided a suitable platform for display and amplification of church service liturgy, songs and sermon material, and it certainly did not appeal to the younger members of the congregation!
The new system, developed and installed by DM Music, has successfully addressed all of these issues. The sound quality is excellent and well balanced throughout the building. We use a wide range of musical instruments, both acoustic and electric, including violins, guitars, flutes and electronic keyboards, and often have several vocalists leading singing. The system handles all of these very well. Last Sunday a visitor commented that the CD which was playing “Sounded like a piano playing in the room”. The screen display is clear and, thanks to the excellent dialogue with DM Music during development of the specification, the system is flexible and easy to use.
DM Music have been committed throughout to providing excellent customer service. The many site visits and innumerable phone calls and emails have paid dividends – a system which should meet our needs for many years to come. The written proposal by DM Music was accepted readily by the DAC for the installation in our Grade II listed building.
We thoroughly recommend DM Music, not only for their technical expertise, but for their quality of work. The installation includes 2.2km of cable, but it is almost impossible to find any! – it is all hidden away under floors or discretely glued to pillars.
