I first met Jon at a CRE seminar in the summer and he agreed to come at short notice and provide a quotation for us. From that meeting, until our eventual installation at the end of November he has been a constant source of support and encouragement. His visit to the church and subsequent replies to my many questions has enabled us to install a system which has delighted even the church sceptics. His professionalism was a major factor in us choosing DM.
The installation team, Graham, Ben and Steve were a pleasure to work with. I was able to be at the church throughout the installation and they discussed options and handled my questions with clarity and patience. They all had a good understanding of the ethos and needs of the church. Graham had to put up with a large inquisitive group of Elders who appeared while he was struggling to configure a defective switcher box. Ben discussed various related topics with me and made several useful suggestions. Steve was there from before the start of the first day and present throughout. He was a real asset to your team. He was prepared to listen to my ideas and went out of his way to ensure I was really happy with what he was setting up.

The email I received from the secretary of the PCC says it all: “Thanks for the helpful update and congratulations on the successful completion of the project. Its first public screening with the Alpha trailer at today’s 10am service went down a storm!” There was an audible hush at the end of the Alpha ad, with a gasp from someone as the coffins ran off the end of the conveyer belt – I think it showed the impact of AV and might have persuaded someone to go to our next Alpha course!
After the service, I had lots of people coming up to me to comment on how clearly the video could be seen and to goggle at all the flashing lights of the equipment. Everyone seems very pleased and eager to start using it more fully.

The old sound reinforcement system at St Michael’s was life-expired, reliability and quality were deteriorating and the functionality fell well short of what is currently expected. It no longer provided a suitable platform for display and amplification of church service liturgy, songs and sermon material, and it certainly did not appeal to the younger members of the congregation!
The new system, developed and installed by DM Music, has successfully addressed all of these issues. The sound quality is excellent and well balanced throughout the building. We use a wide range of musical instruments, both acoustic and electric, including violins, guitars, flutes and electronic keyboards, and often have several vocalists leading singing. The system handles all of these very well. Last Sunday a visitor commented that the CD which was playing “Sounded like a piano playing in the room”. The screen display is clear and, thanks to the excellent dialogue with DM Music during development of the specification, the system is flexible and easy to use.
DM Music have been committed throughout to providing excellent customer service. The many site visits and innumerable phone calls and emails have paid dividends – a system which should meet our needs for many years to come. The written proposal by DM Music was accepted readily by the DAC for the installation in our Grade II listed building.
We thoroughly recommend DM Music, not only for their technical expertise, but for their quality of work. The installation includes 2.2km of cable, but it is almost impossible to find any! – it is all hidden away under floors or discretely glued to pillars.
“We needed a 21st century Sound & Vision system in a 19th century building in a location where there is great sensitivity about the appearance and use of the building. DM Music worked alongside us patiently and painstakingly during all the design and approval process, and were committed to providing a solution that met our long term needs and addressed all the concerns expressed by the many different interests involved.
