This piano contact microphone kit is an excellent alternative to traditional microphones for miking acoustic pianos. The C-Ducer tape microphones pickup only the actual vibrations of the piano sound board and so offer exceptional feedback resistance and prevent pickup of unwanted spillage from other sound sources. Simply attach the mics to the piano as instructed and conect to your sound system as usual (note - these mics require Phantom Power (PP) from your mixer or an external PP unit to operate).

Tapes should be attached in the positions shown in the diagrams (user manual); experimentation is recommended for optimum results, however, it has been found that best results are generally obtained mounting the tapes directly under the bridges and between the ribs.
