Foldback Monitors
Monitor Speakers (Foldback, Wedges) are used on stage or anywhere you need to hear yourself - whether you are preaching, performing music or even to hear the main service from the Crèche room! These will take a signal from the 'monitor mix' (Auxiliary / Aux send) from the sound desk and, like regular speakers may be Powered (Active) or Unpowered (Passive). A Passive monitor can be linked from an Active monitor to further spread the monitor mix sound on stage. Careful - monitors can be the most common source of feedback (squealing) from the microphones - be sure to carefully position your monitors in relation to the mics to prevent this!
Remember, if you can hear yourself when you are playing you will be in better time, better tuning and this it tern will lead to a more enhanced worship experience!
