The cardioid polar pattern is the most popular because its uses are almost limitless. The 125° pickup angle is especially suited for inexperienced or very "vivacious" talkers who often fail to talk directly into the microphone.

This mic is an great general purpose lectern mic and comes complete with shock mount base to help reduce vibrations and rumbling being transmitted to the mic. It is thin and dicreet and yet offers excellent clarity and pickup for speech.

The shock mount base requires approx 2" hole to be drilled in the lectern or table top. The Gooseneck then drops into this mount and is held securely by the rubber isolation grip. An XLR mic cable may then be attached to the base of the gooseneck to hang down under the lectern/table top. Once the shock mount is installed the gooseneck may then be easily removed for security when not in use, with no tools required to refit or remove each time.
